Archaic Future

In crafting the ‘Archaic Future’ series, I am responding to a tension within society and in myself. It is a tension that arises from the rapid integration of new technologies that are reshaping the ways we exist in the world. I feel pressure to adapt and grow into the changing world with increasingly complex tools and technologies, but also the pressure to step away and embrace simpler practices. The cups hold that tension.

I design and model the cups digitally and produce them using a clay 3d printer. The pieces are bisque fired and glazed, with iterations on design and treatment.
