I am interested in the place where nostalgia for a forgotten past meets the hope for an unseen future. The present moment stands between the two, orienting them. However, the complexity of the present renders it as unknowable as the past and future. It is built on the intentions of those we do not acknowledge and guided by constraints we do not perceive. We wander and wonder where we were when we went. We are oriented by an unknowable center and yet proceed. I honor that perspective through my art. I allow space for unacknowledged preparations to find their form.
